What is that thing at 10:00 in food photo #2? And is food photo #1 the pastry that the nice waitress gave you? Papa and I would love to share that for our breakfast goodie. Are you going to go through Boulder? It has a superb system of bike trails. You've been on it before. One of my favorite photos is of you and cousin Bill sharing a bike trailer in Boulder. You're perfectly content and he's looking slightly put upon.
The Rockies!! Exciting and daunting. That lunch looks fabulous -- chiles rellenos is one of my favorites. I gather that they can be made with other peppers, but are most commonly made with poblano, which to me is just the perfect amount of "heat"

Good question, mom! Chimichanga?? Enchilada? I didn't realize (or remember) that the photo of Isaac and Bill was in Boulder!
DeleteIt's a chilles rellenos (did I spell that right). Yeah I'm going to rest in Boulder tomorrow, and then pass through it the next day!
DeleteHow dramatic to start to see the Rockies. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteI got shivers, too, reading your journal entry. I have a feeling you are going to like the mountains!
